Such a peaceful & charming place, amazing property from the Tudor style building, oozing history, heritage & character, to the oh so well entertained gardens which make you feel like you are in a painting. Perfect place to relax away from any hustle bustle. Friendly and welcoming staff. The room was spacious with a four post bed which was decorated on the occasion of our wedding anniversary with the best wishes of the Hotel Manager which was deeply appreciated. Totally enjoyed strolling on the creaky floors & stairs, wandering in the gardens both at night & during the day wishing to be lost within the beauty of the premises. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was delightful and gargantuan with so much choice and great service. Covered parking was available for guests and we were so pleasantly surprised to find our car washed and refreshed upon check out. Lovely stay at a stunning property, lovely memories to bring home and cherish...

An extraordinary place. In my opinion, Cameron highlands towns are not the place where you can see something interesting. Therefore, the fact that this hotel is far from them is not at all its disadvantage. True, the lake is not very beautiful and is not a suitable place for sightseeing or walks, but the overall view from the hotel is impressive. There is a jungle trail right next to the hotel. This was the most challenging jungle trail of our trip. Just 1.5 km, any experience. I do not recommend it to anyone with mobility issues and it is better not to go with children. If you like adventure - definitely go. We were upgraded to the Foster Suite - it was wow, wow, wow. But you have to climb the up to the hill. We tried the hotel's steam boat for dinner - we really liked it. Breakfast was also good and varied.

Fabulous staff from manager to cleaners/servers--so friendly, kind, cheerful and helpful. Amazing old historic property with such character and charm. Very handsome place!! Lots of different rooms to hang out in plus outdoor deck chairs and a swing plus deck lounge. Great, varied continental and local breakfast options and capsule coffee. Loved the four post-bed and decor of spacious room and nice, modern bathroom + tub. it was so refreshing in August, we slept with the windows open that are all screened in. No problem with any mosquitoes at night. Do bring spray as you are in the woods! They can arrange a few half or full-day trips for you with ease all the way up to highest tea plantation in Brinchang and Mossy Forest, etc.

Staff delivered excellent service, and being at the lakehouse was like existing in a fairy tale’s little cottage - the architecture was truly beautiful beyond words. The only downside was the smell of (i suspect) mould in the building, but it was easily resolved by room diffuser which was available in the interior of the room, on the dressing table. Breakfast was good and a walk across the various corners of the lakehouse was like an exploration in a vintage museum. Do take note to put on mozzie repellent when outdoor as nature comes with plenty of mosquitoes. The lakehouse was also very near various sightseeing or places of interests, although the drive uphill took more than 3h.

I stayed in the Lakehouse 2 years before and stated this is the best place I ever stayed in away from home. Last year they were (unfortunately) closed due to renovations so I could only revisit this year. My opinion has not changed: its location outside of the towns of Ringlet and Tanah Rata, the impeccable staff, excellent restaurant, resting facilities, garden, rooms, it is a 100% thumbs up for me.
